Carolyn Parrs is a co-founder of Mind Over Markets. For many years, she has helped businesses and organizations find their way to the hidden nuggets in the green market. Carolyn is a Certified Marketing and Business Coach and works one-on-one with entrepreneurs and executives internationally.

She is also the co-author of the forthcoming book The Tao and the How of Green Marketing as well as the creator and co-writer of the Green Marketing Blog, an exploration, explanation and exposition of what you need to know to successfully market your green product or service. Carolyn and her partner, Irv Weinberg, are featured authors in Thomson Reuters’ book Inside the Minds: Greening Your Business. They also were the creators of the popular podcast on iTunes, America the Green.

Carolyn has worked as a Senior Copywriter at several top New York City advertising agencies such as Benton & Bowles and Wunderman Worldwide serving clients such as AT&T, IBM, Proctor & Gamble, General Foods, Richardson-Vicks, Manufacturers Hanover Trust and Time/Life Books.

Her current clients in the green space range from educational institutions to natural, personal care products to solar and wind power, organics, green cleaning services, eco-friendly lawn services and garden products, non-toxic paints and home décor products, pet food, and more.

As a 26-year old, Carolyn started her first business, Poochi Canine Couture, Inc., a company that manufactured and designed fashion pet accessories and apparel. Poochi sold in over 1,000 department stores, pet stores and chains nationwide including Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Harrod’s of London, Dayton-Hudson, the Spiegel Catalog, Target, Venture and Ames stores.

After four years, Poochi was acquired by the second largest food company in the world. She and her products have appeared on television shows such as Good Morning America, ABC News, CBS News and on numerous radio and cable shows such as HBO, CNN and Lifetime Channel. Magazine and newspaper coverage include The New York Times, L.A. Times, Wall Street Journal, People Magazine and Cosmopolitan.
